The Detroit Red Wings look to get a boost back in their lineup as captain Henrik Zetterberg is hopeful to return tonight against the surging New York Rangers. Also expected to be in the lineup are trade deadline acquisitions Marek Zidlicky and Erik Cole, both making their Detroit debuts. Both teams are coming off wins against the Nashville Predators, with Detroit having won 4-3 on Saturday, and the Rangers winning 4-1 on Monday. New York is 8-1-1 in their last 10 games.

The Rangers continue to be without the services of #1 netminder Henrik Lundqvist (neck), but added a key piece on their blue line with the acquisition of Keith Yandle from the Arizona Coyotes.  Cam Talbot is the likely starter for New York, while Jimmy Howard will man the pipes for the Red Wings.

This is the 3rd and final regular season meeting between the Wings and Rangers, with the teams’ splitting a pair of 1-goal games in November and December.
