The Detroit Red Wings fought back valiantly from a 4-1 first deficit to ultimately defeat the Boston Bruins by a 6-5 final (SO) on Wednesday night.
During the 2nd period, Detroit's comeback began with a Xavier Ouellet goal, following an Andreas Athanasiou goal soon afterward. Thomas Vanek's behind-the-back no-look pass to Athanasiou sure turned a lot of heads, and the goal brought Detroit back to within one score, 4-3.
