Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall announced his retirement from the NHL after 15 seasons wearing the Winged Wheel.
He quickly became known for his bone-crushing hits that forced opponents to keep their heads up, which affectionately were termed getting “Kronwalled”! Take a look back at some of his best and heaviest hits during his NHL career!
