It was a victory that the Detroit Red Wings desperately needed, and Tyler Bertuzzi helped make it happen!
The hard-nosed forward scored three goals in Detroit's 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild for his first career hat trick to help the team snap a three game losing skid and salvage one game on their road trip.
Forward Thomas Vanek scored twice for Detroit, giving him a total of nine goals on the year. Dylan Larkin had three assists and Gustav Nyquist and Jonathan Ericsson each had two.
The Red Wings return home to play the Anaheim Ducks at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday night.

Justin Abdelkader authors his own children's book
Justin Abdelkader has turned his life story into a children’s book.
The Michigan native and Red Wings forward shared the news of his book titled “Shoot For The Goal: The Justin Abdelkader Story” from his Instagram account.
The story follows a young hockey player from Michigan who grows up dreaming of playing for the Red Wings and goes over the steps he took to make that dream a reality.
Here’s what Abdelkader had to say on Instagram about the book:
“Excited to finally share the project I have been working on, a children’s book about a boy from the west side of Michigan who had dreams of playing for the Detroit Red Wings. It has been so much fun reflecting on my childhood and all the obstacles that brought me to where I am today. This book is so special to me not only because it goes through my journey as a hockey player/student, but because I get to further my passion for children and reading through Abby’s All Stars by giving them one more book to read! ????Follow along for details on how to get your copy and signings I’ll be doing for “Shoot For The Goal” as well. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it!”
