It was only a matter of time before things started to click for Mike Leach in Pullman. Leach has had a sub-.500 record at WSU but seems to have everything in working order after a solid 2015 season. The Cougars have already had wins against PAC-12 mainstays Oregon and Stanford after losing their first two games against in-state rival Eastern Washington and nationally-ranked Boise State on the road. Not that it should be any surprise for a Leach-led team, but the Cougars rank seventh nationally in passing offense and 19th in points scored with an average of 40 points per game.

Arizona State has been sneakily good in 2016 as well. The two losses on the Sun Devils record come after giving up 40+ points to both USC and Colorado, adding to their 106th national rank in points allowed at 34 PPG. Offensively the Sun Devils rank in the top third in offensive PPG and being middle of the pack in both passing and rushing offense. If the Sun Devils aren’t careful this game could easily get out of hand if their defense lets the Cougars throw the ball all over the field.
