Time Warp! Feels like we’re back in the 1980’s and 1990’s right now with the recent rise of these two programs. No word yet as to whether this game will feature throwback uniforms, shoulder pads, and players removing helmets in celebration after every play. Even if not, this game promises to be an exciting one with both Miami and Florida State ranked in the top 25.
Mark Richt has the Hurricanes off to an undefeated 4-0 start. His team is playing inspired football on both sides of the ball. Defensively Miami is averaging 12 tackles per loss per contest and doesn’t give up many big plays. On offense Miami boasts an experienced quarterback in Brad Kaaya. While not a Heisman candidate, the junior is a solid leader who doesn’t make a lot of mistakes.
The Seminoles need to find solid ground after a disappointing 3-2 start to 2016. FSU is coming off a loss at home to North Carolina last weekend by just a field goal and is really struggling on defense. Florida State has given up 177 total points so far in its first five games. The offense is led by Dalvin Cook who set the FSU single season rushing record in 2015.
