When news broke on Saturday that the Cleveland Browns and Josh Gordon were parting ways, not too many people were completely surprised. After all, Gordon certainly has a troubled history and at some point, it can be better for all parties involved to go in different directions.

Well, the Browns went on to blow their Week 2 game against the New Orleans Saints and Gordon has found a new home.
According to reports, the Browns have traded Gordon to the New England Patriots for a 5th-round pick. If Gordon is not active for a minimum of 10 games, the Patriots would receive a late-round pick back from the Browns.

Adam Schefter is also reporting that sources of his have indicated that Gordon is healthy enough to suit up this coming Sunday night against…wait for it…the Detroit Lions.

So, the Lions were already going to have to face a ticked off Tom Brady (the Patriots lost 31-20 to the Jaguars in Week 2), now Brady could have another weapon at his disposal against a suspect Lions defense.

On Sunday, the Detroit Lions looked like absolute garbage for over three quarters in their 30-27 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. In fact, with 10:32 left in the contest, the Lions trailed 30-13 and it looked like a certainty that they would be blown out for a second-straight week.
But that is when the play happened that just may turn around the season for the Motor City Kitties. (Ok, maybe not, but stick with me for a moment). On 2nd and 10 at the Lions 30-yard line, Matthew Stafford dropped back to pass but felt pressure and had to take off running. As Stafford approached the first down marker, he was shoved out of bounds by 49ers defensive back Elijah Lee.
