The NFL franchise formerly known as the Washington Redskins officially has a new nickname – though it won’t last very long. And that’s a good thing, because this is clearly just until a better moniker can be decided upon.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the franchise will now (temporarily) officially be known as “The Washington Football Team”.
They couldn’t have made it even remotely more exciting or interesting than that? Thank God it’s only temporary!
