With the No. 8 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions selected tight end T.J. Hockenson out of Iowa. Besides a couple of quarterbacks, Hockenson was the first offensive player of drafted and the Lions are clearly thrilled to have him.

But as excited as the Lions were to land Hockenson, there was another team who was equally excited that the Lions passed on a certain player.
That team is the Buffalo Bills, who were sitting at No. 9, hoping the Lions would not select the No.1 player left on their board, Ed Oliver out of Houston.
Watch as the Bills celebrate after watching the Lions select Hockenson at No. 8.

Oliver is one of the players who many Lions fans (including yours truly) wanted all along so it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
That being said, I for one am extremely excited to watch Hockenson have a Hall of Fame career with the Detroit Lions!
