On Thursday night, the Detroit Red Wings will open up their 2018-2019 regular season at Little Caesars Arena against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Most experts are predicting another long season for the Red Wings and that is not too surprising considering the plethora of youth that will be expected to contribute throughout the season.
Some of those young guns, including defensemen Joe Hicketts and Dennis Cholowski took some time to record a message for Red Wings’ fans in advance of their season opener at LCA.

Green Bay Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers loves him some ‘Matty Stafford’
This coming Sunday, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will invade Ford Field to take on Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions.
Rodgers has long been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and is considered to be one of the greatest signal-callers of all time. After all, he has two NFL MVP awards, has been to the Pro Bowl six times, and has a Super Bowl championship to his name.
Stafford, on the other hand, despite putting up gaudy numbers throughout his career, has yet to really get the respect he has earned. He has yet to lead the Lions to a playoff victory and many (who are clueless and do not understand that football is a team sport) blame him.
Well, Rodgers happens to be quite the fan of Stafford and he is not afraid to say so.
From Detroit Free Press:
“I’ve long enjoyed matching up with Matty,” Rogers said. “He’s a fantastic quarterback and has done it for a long time and I’ve enjoyed competing against him. He’s one of the guys I really respect and enjoy watching whenever we have a common opponent, which we usually do being division foes. Always enjoy watching his film.”
