The 2018-2019 season saw the Detroit Red Wings go without a captain. That is something that just about everybody expects to change for the upcoming season and the player who will almost certainly be named captain is no mystery.

That player is Dylan Larkin.

Larkin, who just turned 23, will be entering his fifth season in the NHL and he believes he is ready to take over as captain if that is what Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman decides.

In a recent interview, Larkin said, “I feel ready for it,” but he also added that if it happens it happens and if it does not then he will still go out and do whatever he can to help his team win.
