When fifth-year senior guard Eron Harris suffered a knee injury on February 18 on the road against Purdue, the biggest question surrounding the Michigan State Spartans was going to be who would step up in place of the team’s third-leading scorer.
So far, they have responded emphatically behind their fallen comrade. On Sunday, MSU picked up a big 84-74 win in their home finale against Wisconsin, further cementing their spot in the NCAA Tournament for a potential 20th straight season. With seconds remaining, Spartans head coach Tom Izzo went to his bench and brought in the injured Harris for one final time.
Hobbled and all, Harris made his way out to mid-court during a stoppage in play to kiss the Spartan logo, a tradition for all MSU seniors playing their final home game.

The Spartans sans Harris are playing some good basketball as of late at the right time. With a record of 18-11, 10-6 in conference play, they have two games remaining in the regular season, both away from home (@ILL on 03/01; @UMD on 03/04). The team has won four of their last five, six of their last eight.
