WATCH: KHL Defenseman Attempts to Fight Everyone

Talk about a hothead! A pre-season game between the KHL’s Kazakhstan-based club Barys Astana and the China-based Kunlun Red Star was suspended just minutes after the opening face-off.

The reason? Barys defenseman Damir Ryspayev decided to turn into a one-man wrecking crew and attempt to fight everyone he saw.

Ryspayev began by sucker-punching a Kunlun player, and even tried picking him up by the jersey before officials stopped him. Ryspayev then attacked another Kunlun player, raining blows upon him before moving on to yet another opponent and continuing.

Still not finished, Ryspayev moved back to the second player he attacked (No. 84 in red) and began wailing on him again. Finally, he went to the Kunlun bench and grabbed the first player he saw, while a coach/trainer jumped in and tried to fend him off. The officials were then finally able to corral Ryspayev. So disgusted was Kunlun coach Vladimir Jurzinov, that he pulled his team off the ice, resulting in a forfeit.

The KHL has announced that Ryspayev has been suspended indefinitely, with additional punishment forthcoming from the league’s disciplinary committee.
