Born & raised in the mitten. Grew up in Traverse City, but moved down to the Redford, MI area after my Dad tragically passed away in 1999 because that's where he was being buried and we wanted to be down there with him. I'm an avid Detroit sports fan, growing up in the state of Michigan and having such a solid block of teams to root for is something special. Iv'e always liked discussing Detroit sports whether it be about the past, the present or even what the future holds for Michigan sports teams. It's a long time coming as I am very excited to be apart of the DSN team and be able to construct interesting features to be posted for Detroit Sports fans to read/discuss about.

In the first quarter of the Detroit Lions‘ second preseason game of 2016, Marvin Jones made yet another great sideline grab. This this around, Jones hauled in a Matthew Stafford pass on 2nd and 11 that found its way over two Cincinnati Bengals defenders. Jones adjusted to the football, ultimately backpedaling to the sidelines, and got both feet down for a big gain for Detroit’s offense. Had to feel good for him, especially coming against the team he played for last season.

The catches Jones has made in the preseason thus far is very encouraging. He was brought in to fill a wide receiver void and if these first two games are an indication, it looks as though he’s going to fill the void just fine.
