University of Michigan offensive lineman Grant Newsome has been sidelined since a devastating knee injury early in the season. Newsome, a highly-touted 4-star recruit, was hurt on a cut block during the Wisconsin game. The nature of the play leading to the injury prompted teammate Kyle Kalis to sound off on social media about the injury.
Well, there is good news today for Wolverine fans. Exactly two months since his injury, Newsome posted a video on Twitter highlighting him taking few unassisted steps. It is unknown if Newsome will be able to play football again by 2017, but, this is certainly progress in a positive direction.
Best wishes towards a continued recovery, Grant!
