Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is back in court Monday morning as a judge considers whether he should remain behind bars while his criminal case moves forward.
The pretrial detention hearing is currently underway in Hillsborough County, Florida. Prosecutors are arguing that Arnold should be held without bond because of the seriousness of the charges against him, while his defense team is seeking his release.

Arnold faces eight felony charges, including three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Prosecutors have identified the former Alabama standout as the alleged “primary conspirator” in the case.
Monday’s hearing will not determine Arnold’s guilt or innocence. Instead, the court will decide whether he should remain in custody while awaiting trial. Under Florida law, the judge must issue a ruling within 24 hours of the hearing, either from the bench or in writing.
Arnold has remained in custody since surrendering to authorities on June 24.
