WATCH: Western Kentucky literally stumbles out of the gate to open season

It’s that time for another exciting year of college football. Teams all around the country began their quest for a championship. However, in some cases, some of the players on teams might be too excited.

Take the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky for example. They are coming off a remarkable 12-2 season a year ago in Conference-USA, easily their best mark in just their tenth season at the FBS level. So rightfully so, the Hilltoppers are anxious to hit the gridiron and shoot for another strong campaign. But some players might be just a hair too excited, so much so they can’t stay on their feet even before the opening kickoff…

Now I don’t think that was suppose to happen. Certainly no team wants to stumble out of the gate literally and figuratively. Thankfully in the Hilltoppers’ case, no one appeared to be injured and they did go on to win their season opener on Thursday over conference foe Rice, 46-14.

We believe after looking at the video, the culprit for the multi-player pile-up is No. 52.
