Despite having the No. 1 ranked offense in the National Football League, Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Detroit Lions are off to a 1-3 start as they head into Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots.
St. Brown has been nursing an injured ankle and after missing the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, there has been speculation that he could be held out again against the Patriots.
Will Amon-Ra St. Brown play against the Patriots?
The Detroit Lions may have just given us a hint as to whether or not St. Brown will play on Sunday against the Patriots.
After missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday as he continues to nurse an injured ankle, St. Brown reportedly returned to practice on Friday.
Now, just because St. Brown practiced on Friday is no guarantee that he will play on Sunday but it is certainly a sign that the Lions are hoping he can give it a go.
The Lions’ final injury designations will be released later this afternoon and we expect that Amon-Ra will have a “questionable” next to his name.
What Dan Campbell had to say about St. Brown
Prior to Friday’s practice, head coach Dan Campbell talked about Amon-Ra St. Brown, calling him a “spark plug” and a “leader.”
“Anytime you can get a player like him back, it helps in production, but also what he brings… he’s a spark plug. He’s a leader. He’s a hard-hat guy. He’s gonna bring his lunch pail and go to work.”
