Week 10 WARNING for Detroit Lions fans

On Sunday afternoon, the Detroit Lions will look to pick up their first win of the 2021 regular season (and of the Dan Campbell era) when they invade Heinz Field against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

By now, you have probably heard the big news that broke on Saturday evening as Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be able to play against the Lions.

Of course, as soon as that news broke, Lions fans came out of the woodwork and local radio hosts immediately started talking about how the Lions have a solid chance of winning their first game of the season on Sunday.

Folks, I am here to provide you with a warning for Week 10.

Do the Lions have a chance of beating the Steelers on Sunday afternoon? Sure, I guess there is a chance but, in my opinion, it is still very unlikely that it will happen.

You see, according to advanced stats, the Lions are the worst team in the NFL. In fact, DVOA stats say they are the worst NFL team since the 2019 Miami Dolphins and they are one of the five worst teams since the 2014 season.

Sure, the Lions are coming off of a bye week and they are as healthy as they have been in a while, but to be confident (and almost expect) that they are going to defeat a respectable Steelers team ON THE ROAD is probably a bad idea.

I will be rooting for the Lions to win against the Steelers just like you will be but I am here to warn you not to get your hopes up too high because if you do, your Sunday will be ruined.
