Three things to watch for:

  • Are the Lions ready to unseat the Packers? – It would be just the luck of the Detroit Lions organization that after enduring the long tenure of the legendary Brett Favre in Green Bay, that they would immediately go into another era of an elite Packers quarterback with Aaron Rodgers. A-Rod has shown signs of slowing down this season and although he is on fire of late, this would be a great time for the Lions to make their mark as the new crop of the NFC North.
  • Ford Field will surely be alive – Let's make one thing clear – the atmosphere in Ford Field tonight will be playoff-like and the crowd could definitely be a weapon for the Lions tonight. Detroit sports fans have the full capability to affect a game with noise and passion, alike. Simply put, Ford Field will be lit tonight.
  • Darius Demetrius Slay – That name could very well be the key to a Lions victory tonight against the hot Packers passing offense. Green Bay wideout Jordy Nelson has been on a tear of late and is starting to look like his normal self. If Slay can play – and cover effectively, it could go a long way to helping the Lions pull this one out.

Prediction:

Lions 23 Packers 20
