Weekly Recap: Tigers salvage split with Red Sox, still can’t figure out division foes

Earning a split of a four-game weekend series against the Red Sox was the best possible scenario for the Tigers last week after laying an egg earlier in the week when they got swept by the Royals. They are now a combined 5-20 against K.C. and the Indians this year.

Granted, this team is dealing with a lot of injuries at some key positions in the lineup and on the field, but there are some regulars in the order than simply are not getting it done right now and their lack of success of reflecting on the team’s success over the last couple weeks.
