Who will the Detroit Lions select when they are on the clock with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft? (If they are unable to trade down)
Well, the answer to that question largely depends on who is available when the Lions are on the clock.
The latest rumors suggest that the Cincinnati Bengals are poised to select WR Ja’Marr Chase out of LSU to team up with his former partner in crime, Joe Burrow.

If the Bengals do select Chase, what would that mean for the Lions?
Let me tell you something that you may or may not already know. If the Bengals do select Chase when they are on the clock at No. 5, that would be the best-case scenario for the Lions as it would likely mean OT Penei Sewell would drop into their lap.
Sewell, in my opinion, is the top-ranked offensive lineman in the draft and he would immediately come in and start at right tackle for the Lions in 2021. Not only that, but he, along with Taylor Decker and Frank Ragnow, would give the Lions one of the top offensive lines in the NFL.
So, when the NFL Draft begins, and the Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock, root for them to reach and select Ja’Marr Chase rather than taking Sewell!
