We are two weeks into what many hoped would be a bounce-back season and our beloved (and hated) Detroit Lions are off to an 0-2 start.
But it’s not just the fact that the Lions have not won after two weeks, it is how they have lost. As you know, the Lions had double-digit leads in both games, only to turn into the Lions we have come to become accustomed to watching under the leadership of head coach Matt Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn.

In my mind, both Patricia and Quinn should have been fired before the season even started. Hell, I have been calling for Quinn to be fired for three years now because he clearly is in over his head.
Pretty much everyone has already given up on the Lions after their 0-2 start, and rightfully so. The question is, who is more at fault for the Lions’ failures? Bob Quinn or Matt Patricia?
In my opinion, both Quinn and Patricia should be fired as soon as possible but from my view, Quinn is more responsible for where the Lions currently stand in the NFL. He has somehow managed to build one of the worst rosters in the league and he failed to adequately address the Lions’ biggest problem going into the season, the defense. Sure, he went out and added some players, including some retreads from the Patriots, but as we have seen, the defense has somehow been even worse than a year ago.

As far as drafting goes, Quinn reminds me of my 4-year-old son trying to run a franchise on Madden 21. He has no eye for talent whatsoever and he clearly does not have a clear understanding of how to get the most value out of a draft pick.
Matt Patricia has been a train-wreck, but Bob Quinn is more responsible for the Lions’ failures.
What do you think?
