WHOA! Detroit Tigers asking for the moon in exchange for pitcher

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd got off to a hot start to the season and ever since then, there has been speculation that he would be dealt to a contender before the MLB trade deadline.

There have also been plenty of reports, including comments by Tigers’ GM Al Avila and manager Ron Gardenhire that it would take a haul to give up Boyd.

Most figured it would take an organization’s top ranked (or close to it) position player prospect to get a deal done, but a recent report suggests the Tigers may want an established young MLB star in exchange for Boyd.

Whoa! If this report is accurate, Avila really is asking for the moon if he is to trade Boyd!

In my opinion, there is almost zero chance that he lands an “established young MLB Star,” but shooters gotta shoot!
