Big news coming down from cyber space..the Wings are apparently interested in making a deal for Atlanta’s Zach Bogosian. Also, Ty Conklin, who played in Detroit in 2008, has been placed on waivers by the St. Louis Blues.
Zach Bogosian was the third overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, behind 2010 Rocket Richard trophy winner Steven Stamkos and 2010 Norris nominee Drew Doughty.
Multiple sources stated just minutes ago that the Wings have expressed interest in the American blue-liner.
The asking price has been reported as one of the following players. Jiri Hudler, Jonathan Ericsson or Jakub Kindl, plus a high draft pick.
My question for you is simple. Would you pull this deal if you were Kenny Holland? The trade deadline is only two days away, and the choice is yours. Deal, or no deal?
Also, would you snatch Conklin off of waivers just in case Osgood can’t return? He is shooting for a March 9th return, but who knows with a groin injury if he’ll have a set back between now and then. For the record, Conklin’s is a UFA after this season and his salary is $1.3M.
