Wolverines great Charles Woodson frustrated with UM errors

Charles Woodson is one of the all-time great Michigan Wolverines, but he couldn’t hide his frustration following the first half between the Wolverines and their hated rivals from Ohio State.

Though the Wolverines were playing well, crucial errors led to points on the board for the Buckeyes. A red zone turnover, a missed extra point, and a crucial offsides penalty all added up against Michigan, and Woodson made it clear he wasn’t happy with it.

“Before the game, I talked about this team and Michigan having to play mistake-free football,” Woodson said. “They come out, first drive down the field and put up six points, which is awesome. But they missed the extra point. Another drive down the field, and they’re inside the 10-yard line. What happens? Quarterback fumbles the snap.”

“Then we’ve got a fourth-and-five on a punt. You can jump offsides with fourth-and-five on a punt. All the sudden, that gives them a big play. The next play is a big play over our head down the field to get them on the five-yard line. Dobbins runs in for a touchdown again. So, the mistakes. We are playing well. We are moving the ball offensively, but we cannot have the mistakes in this game.”

Unfortunately, the Wolverines haven’t fared any better in the third quarter.
