On Monday, many NFL fans (and players) lost their collective mind as the Madden NFL 20 ratings were officially released.
As far as quarterbacks go, Detroit Lions‘ signal-caller Matthew Stafford was given a rating of just 79, which ranks him 19th in the NFL behind guys like David Carr and Andy Dalton.

Now, I have to say that I think it is hilarious when people freak out about useless Madden ratings but a tweet by Chris Burke of The Athletic did catch my attention.
Burke pointed out that former Lions’ QB Joey Harrington had a rating of 83 during his final season with Detroit in 2005. Interesting that Madden raters believe Harrington was better during his final season with the Lions than Stafford currently is.

Moral of the story….
STOP. FREAKING. OUT. ABOUT. MADDEN. RATINGS!!!!!!
