There is absolutely no question about it that Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia should have been fired a long time ago. He has proven to be incompetent as a head coach and his recent comment about having “a lot of work to do” when he took over a 9-7 team further shows how out of touch he is.

“That’s a hard question,” Patricia said, “We just lost to the Saints. Let’s just give them credit for this game, they played extremely well and I know we got a lot of work to do. I think when I came to Detroit, there was a lot of work to do and that’s what we’re trying to do. But, talking about this year, we’re talking about right now, these first four games and obviously today wasn’t good enough.”
That being said, I cannot tell you how many comments I have seen on social media about how the Lions should have never fired Jim Caldwell because he had just led the team to a 9-7 record.

Matt Patricia is trash, that is a fact. And it is perfectly justified to want him fired immediately. But please do not act like you did not want the exact same fate for Jim Caldwell three years ago.
