On Sunday, the Detroit Lions went into Jacksonville and beat the living hell out of the Jaguars. The win moved the Lions to 2-3 on the season, keeping their playoffs hopes alive and most likely saving Matt Patricia‘s job for at least one more week.
Patricia, who was rumored to be fired if the Lions lost to the Jaguars, is still on the hot seat and he will remain their unless the Lions make a run at the Playoffs.
Following the game, Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew spoke to the media and when he was asked about what stands out about the Lions, he singled out Patricia.
“They’re a very good defense and very well coached. That’s one thing that stands out,” said Minshew.

Wait, what?!?! “Very well coached?!?!”
That is very nice of Minshew to say after the beating his team took but there is no way in hell he believes the words that just came out of his mouth.
