You can bet that Red Wings fans are still buzzing over the return of long-time captain Steve Yzerman to take over the general manager position!
Yzerman recently spoke about his albeit brief but busy time on the job so far as he prepares for the NHL Draft, and shared a pretty eye-opening revelation!

“I’ve been around Detroit a lot the last 10 years. People that have seen me a lot, they’re over it,” Yzerman said on Thursday while speaking to media members.
Wait, you mean that fans don’t really recognize arguably the most recognizable Detroit sports icon?
“People that haven’t seen me don’t really recognize me anymore,” he said. “The odd person will welcome me back, but it hasn’t really been that much different.”
Of course, Yzerman has never been about the spotlight, so we wouldn’t be surprised if he was simply being modest!
