Detroit Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah, who has missed all practices this offseason with a shoulder injury did participate in drills during the Lions practice on Monday. Of course he had a trainer by his side the entire time, but he was able to hit the bags and sleds. He was wearing a protective sleeve, but that didn’t seem to slow him down. This could be great news for the Lions as Ziggy could be well on his way to being activated sooner rather than later.
Head coach Jim Caldwell took the standard coached route and didn’t answer any questions directly about Ziggy possibly playing in the Detroit Lions preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns, instead he told us, “he’s still on PUP.”
