It has been quite the week for Shea Patterson, who officially transferred from Ole Miss to Michigan on Monday. According to his most recent comments, Patterson may not be the only former Rebel to transfer to the Wolverines.

During his first interview since transferring to Michigan, Patterson told the Toledo Blade that other Ole Miss players will likely transfer to Michigan as well.

When asked if he would be the only Ole Miss player on Michigan’s roster by the end of the week, Patterson responded by saying “That’s doubtful.”

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, considering recent reports stating that up to six other Rebels would be interested in transferring to Michigan. That list includes safety Deontay Anderson, wide receiver Van Jefferson, offensive tackle Greg Little, linebacker Breon Dixon, offensive tackle Bryce Matthews, and tight end Jacob Mathis.

Anderson and Jefferson in particular joined Patterson during his official visit to Ann Arbor last weekend, and all three were seen at Michigan’s basketball game against UCLA this past weekend.

Patterson also went on to talk about his belief that he and his teammates share, that they should be granted waivers by the NCAA as a result of Ole Miss’ sanctions, which include a two-year bowl ban.

From Land of 10:

“It’s in God’s hands,” Patterson said. “From what I’m hearing, I’m pretty sure that I will win that and be able to play next year. If I don’t, I’ll work as hard as I can learning the offense and I’ll be playing the year after.”

Patterson has two years of eligibility remaining, and he is looking to make the most of it. Patterson stated that one of the biggest reasons he went to Michigan is to try to fulfill his goal of competing for a national championship.

One thing is for sure- Patterson is on board. Now it’s just a matter of time to see how many teammates he’ll be bringing with him.
