Following their win over the New York Giants, the Detroit Lions now sit at 3-3-1 overall but they have some ground to make up if they want to get back in the playoff hunt.
As things stand heading into Week 9, the Seattle Seahawks (6-2) and Minnesota Vikings (6-2) hold the two Wild Card playoff spots, which means the Lions will not only need to go on a run, but they will need some help along the way.
Here is a look at how I think the Lions’ next 3 games will play out.
Week 9 – @ Oakland Raiders

According to Las Vegas, the Lions are currently a 2-point underdog on the road against the Oakland Raiders.
Though the Raiders have been better than expected, the Lions are a better team and they will take care of business out west.

Week 10 – @ Chicago Bears

I cannot stand the Chicago Bears and I do not think they are a good team. That being said, beating them on their home turf in November won’t be easy.
If the Lions had traded for a formidable RB at the deadline, I would have more confidence but that did not happen.
Stafford will keep the Lions in the game because he is amazing but it will not be enough.

Week 11 – vs. Dallas Cowboys

Who are the Dallas Cowboys?
Heading into the season, I picked the Cowboys to win the NFC East and though they are currently in the lead, they are a team that has confused me.
If this game were being played in Dallas, I would take the Cowboys, but this game will be played at Ford Field and you can bet the fans will be as loud as ever to watch the Lions move to 5-4-1.
