Last Sunday, during an overtime win over the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson had a day. In the game, Wilson hauled in six receptions for 155 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What made the receiving numbers even more impressive is that 136 of those yards came after the catch. Or as most refer to it, YAC.

Earlier in the week, Wilson was feeling pretty confident in his abilities and he told reporters that he was the best in the game when it came to YAC.
“I’m the best YAC receiver in the league, for sure,” the Dolphins slot receiver told ESPN this week. “Team is looking for me to make those plays. That’s what I’m here for.”
That comment made many Detroit Lions fans laugh out loud, while others got defensive. That’s because they know that the “King of YAC” resides right here in the Motor City and his name is Golden Tate.

Ever since coming to the Lions, Tate has consistently been at or near the top of the league when it comes to making opponents miss after he catches the ball. So, when the Lions receiver heard about Wilson’s comment about being the best in the game when it comes to YAC, he felt he needed to remind the young pup who the REAL King is.
From MLive:
“But you don’t get that title after five games, six games,” Tate said with a smirk.
Though Tate put Wilson in check, he also had some kind words to say about the Dolphins receiver.
“I mean, (Wilson’s) really good,” Tate said. “He had a really good game last week, especially yards after the catch. He’s talented. He’s a really, really, really good player.”
Tate knows that being confident in his own abilities has been part of his game since he was a young player and there is nothing wrong with Wilson following that blueprint.
“Is he being cocky or is he being confident? I haven’t read too much into it,” Tate said. “I think he’s a heck of a player. I think he’s a very strong runner. He’s bringing a spark to their offense, for sure.
“When I was younger, I thought I could run through a brick wall. I didn’t think anyone could tackle me. I thought I could run forever. I definitely get that mentality, and that’s something that you want to have.”
