Now, video of Beilein firing up his players in the locker room at halftime has found its way to social media and we are all better for it! (Well, at least Michigan fans are better for it)

They’re gonna to win the highlight tape, but we’re gonna to win the freakin’ game.

Since Michigan’s big victory over the Spartans, they are 2-1. The one loss was an embarrassing 20 point loss on the road to Nebraska. The Wolverines next game is against Purdue on the road. The Boilermakers are tied for 1st place in the Big Ten with the Ohio State Buckeyes and they are ranked No. 3 overall in the country. Michigan played them tough earlier this month at Crisler before losing a heartbreaker 70-69.

The Spartans, since losing to the Wolverines back on January 13th, are 1-0 and their next game is on Monday night on the road against a scrappy Illinois team.

Michigan currently is 6-3 in the Big Ten which puts them 4th in the Big Ten standings. The Wolverines finished last week ranked No. 23 nationally with an overall record of 17-5.

Michigan State is currently 3rd in the Big Ten standings with a record of 5-2 and finished the week ranked 9th nationally with an overall record of 17-3. Both teams are chasing Purdue and Ohio State in the Big Ten, as both the Buckeyes and Boilermakers have a perfect record of 8-0 in the conference.

The game between Michigan and Michigan State that was played on January 13th was the only scheduled meeting between the two teams. Michigan State won’t have a chance to avenge their loss unless the two teams meet up in the Big Ten Tournament or NCAA Tournament.
