If you happen to think that Jim Harbaugh has been in the news WAY too much since taking over the University of Michigan football program, you may want to stop reading.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Amazon Prime will be doing a series which will document the 2017 Michigan football season.

Harbaugh had the following to say about the upcoming series which will focus on his team.

“We are proud to partner with Amazon Prime Video in documenting our University of Michigan student-athletes’ daily experiences and lifelong lessons learned both on the football field and in the classroom,” said Harbaugh. “We welcome judgment! We embrace this opportunity to showcase our 2017 University of Michigan football team to a vast audience around the world.”

Nick Baumgardner of the Detroit Free Press says he caught wind of this project while in Italy with the UM football team and speculates that it could be similar to HBO’s Hard Knocks series which documents an NFL team through training camp.

The question is whether or not this reality television series will become a distraction for a team that is very young on both the offensive and defensive sides of the football. It sounds like Harbaugh will certainly have to work extra hard to keep the focus of his players for the duration of the season.

Michigan is currently off to a 2-0 start after defeating Florida and Cincinnati in the first two weeks of the 2017 campaign. After starting off the season ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press Top 25, the Wolverines have now climbed up to No. 7 as they prepare to take on Air Force this coming Saturday at Michigan Stadium.
