Injuries have been one of the main concerns this week for the Detroit Lions, as they head into Sunday’s game at Baltimore.

Yesterday, the status of four key Lions starters was revealed by Paula Pasche, writer of the Lionslowdown.com, on Twitter.

Micheal Rothstein of ESPN also confirmed that running back Ameer Abdullah (neck) and right guard T.J. Lang (foot) returned to practice for the Lions on Friday, and that return man Jamal Agnew (knee) and center Travis Swanson (knee) didn’t participate in practice.

This can be looked upon as good news or bad news, depending on how you want to spin it. The fact that Abdullah and Lang could play is certainly good news. Earlier in the week, the status of both of those players looked like it could be in more serious jeopardy.

Neither Agnew, or Swanson was able to play in the Lions’ Thanksgiving Day loss to the Minnesota Vikings. This comes as a bit of a surprise for Agnew, who didn’t initially think his injury was that serious. However, the status of Swanson has been in doubt pretty much all week.

The Lions visit the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday, at 1 p.m. eastern time on FOX. It’s a game the Lions have to win if they want any chance of making it into the playoffs this year.
