When the Detroit Lions selected CB Jeff Okudah with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the hope was that he would come in and quickly emerge as a solid player.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for Okudah as he played in only nine games (six starts) during his rookie season before a season-ending groin injury put him out of action.
But according to numerous reports and comments from his teammates and coaches, Okudah looks like a different player in 2021, and head coach Dan Campbell is noticing.
Prior to Thursday’s training camp practice, Campbell dropped a quote that has Lions fans fired up.
“Okudah, I think he’s really starting to come on,” Campbell said in his press conference. “He’s playing like, ‘Alright man, I am a bad dude. And I dare you to throw it over here’ — which is what we want.”
Let’s go!
