It isn't exactly roses when it comes to sports in the Motor City right now.
Just hours ago, the Detroit Lions all but officially bid goodbye to any remaining lingering hope of a playoff spot. The Detroit Red Wings, whom many argue are on the right path towards eventual success, are still in rebuild mode. The Detroit Pistons have stumbled their way through injuries starting this year so far, and the less said about the Detroit Tigers, the better.
It all comes together in this rather depressing, yet eye-opening tweet.
The Detroit Tigers slumped to an embarrassing 47-114 record.
The Detroit Red Wings are 7-12-3.
The Detroit Lions are 3-6-1.
The Detroit Pistons are 4-9.

Of the 12 states with all four major sports, Michigan is the only one without a team above the .500 mark. That is just plain depressing.
Hey, they say it's the darkest before dawn, right? Here's hoping the sun comes back up in short order for at least one of our teams.
