From the sounds of things, that may be exactly what the Detroit Lions decide to do with cornerback Darius Slay, who has been nursing his hamstring for a few weeks now.
According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Slay did not practice on Friday and it seems “highly unlikely” to play on Sunday against the New York Giants.
Darius Slay still not doing anything at Lions practice, seems highly unlikely to play Sunday.

If Slay is unable to give it a go, the Lions secondary will have their work cut out for them, especially with safety Quandre Diggs being traded to the Seahawks earlier in the week. Look for CB Mike Ford to step in for Slay if he is unable to play.
