The 2020 NHL Draft is still fresh in our minds but that does not mean we cannot begin looking towards the future. After all, as Detroit Red Wings fans, chances are the 2020-21 season will end up similar to how this past season ended, though the only direction to go after a last-place finish is up.

So, let’s take a look towards the 2021 NHL Draft, where the Red Wings will likely be selecting very high once again.

According to the latest 2021 NHL Mock Draft published by Draftsite.com, the Red Wings will have the No. 3 overall pick and they will select C Mason McTavish out of Peterborough (OHL).
