Longest tenured Detroit Lions coach Robert Prince finds a new NFL gig

UPDATE:

According to a report from Tom Pelissero, Robert Prince is indeed leaving the Detroit Lions as he is expected to be hired by the Houston Texans.

PREVIOUS REPORT:

Just yesterday, we pointed out that despite all of the new additions to the Detroit Lions coaching staff, Robert Prince was still listed as the WRs coach on the official team website.

But, that was then and this is now as Erik Schlitt of Lions Wire just tweeted out that Prince is no longer listed on the Lions website.

As noted by Schlitt, there is no official word from the Lions or head coach Dan Campbell that the team is moving on from one of their most beloved assistant coaches of all time, but the signs seem to be telling.

Nation, would it be a mistake to move on from Prince?

  1. I’m a Chicago Bears fan. We do nothing. We keep our wall flower group in tack even after we suck year after year. But seeing the Lions new coach, Campbell, it looks like the Lions want to take the Jets of the NFC title from the Bears. In his acceptance speech he goes on senseless rant. Player won’t play for this clown. Coaches won’t put up with this guy. With all the coaches available this is what the Lions came up with? Looks like they dragged him out of a bar still drunk. Clueless with nothing positive for the Lion’s future.
Then this is coming from a Bear fan where we keep doing the same thing over & over expecting different results.
