WATCH: Cincinnati RB believes they can “shock the world” against Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines have everything going for them. They topped then-No. 17 Florida in their season opener 33-17 at AT & T Stadium in Arlington, TX, then were moved up to No. 8 in the Associated Press Poll as of today. The Wolverines, who are currently preparing for their home opener against the Cincinnati Bearcats this Saturday in Ann Arbor, began the week as a 33 point favorite — the spread has already jumped as high as 34-1/2 points, and there’s still two days until kickoff. It seems everyone expects this to be an easy win in the Big House.

But don’t tell that to Mike Boone. He is a senior running back for the Bearcats and says he and his teammates believe they can win the game.

Check out this quick Q & A from Cincinnati.com:

With that kind of point spread, it would indeed be a shock if UC kept it close, let alone won the game.

Boone’s teammate, senior safety Carter Jacobs, said this game is exactly what he and his fellow Bearcats have been focused on the entire off season:

A lot of people have been waiting for this game.

We’ve had a lot of summer conditioning and training, and I think all of it’s leading up to this big game right here.

Both Boone and Jacobs were freshmen on the Cincinnati team that last played a road game against a Big Ten team – in 2014 when they lost 50-28 Ohio State.

This Saturday is the first ever meeting between the Wolverines and Bearcats.  Kickoff at Michigan Stadium is at Noon.
