Red Wings enforcer Bob Probert pounds Calgary’s Sandy McCarthy (VIDEO)

Former Detroit Red Wings enforcer Bob Probert always brought the fans out of their seats, regardless of venue, during the many times he dropped the gloves in his career. April 2, 1994 at Joe Louis Arena was no exception!

The Red Wings hosted the Calgary Flames, who featured a tough guy of their own in Sandy McCarthy. He got a shot on Detroit’s Chris Osgood, and then was immediately challenged behind the net by Probert. The two then went at it in a lengthy bout:

By the time they were through, McCarthy’s equipment was coming off!
