On Sunday, the Detroit Lions went into Soldier Field and laid an egg in what ended up being a 34-22 butt whooping at the hands of the Chicago Bears. With the loss, the Lions now sit at 3-6 on the season and any hope of making a run at the playoffs has pretty much evaporated.

Let’s face it, there is a VERY small chance the Lions win their next seven games and win the NFC North, which means there is only one thing for us fans to look forward to…

Detroit Lions legend Wally Triplett passes away at 92
Former Detroit Lions running back and return specialist Wallace “Wally” Triplett III passed away today at the age of 92.
In a statement released by the Detroit Lions, the team praised Triplett as “one of the true trailblazers in American sports history. He resides among the great men who helped reshape the game as they faced the challenges of segregation and discrimination.”

“Wally’s legacy also reaches beyond breaking color barriers, having served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
