Buyers? Sellers? Stand pat?
With the 2020 NFL trade deadline finally upon us, we will soon know if the Detroit Lions will buyers, sellers, or spectators.
If the Lions decide that selling is their best option, CBS Sports has included three Detroit players that could be targets of potential buyers around the league.

Those players are as follows:
RB Kerryon Johnson
WR Marvin Jones
LB Jarrad Davis
Johnson has fallen out of favor as the Lions have been feeding veteran Adrian Peterson and rookie D’Andre Swift. As a former second-round pick, Johnson could bring some value in return but probably not much.

Marvin Jones Jr. is in the final year of his contract and there has been plenty of speculation that the Lions will not re-sign him for the 2021 season as he will likely demand too much money. That being said, he is a veteran wide receiver who could be a nice addition to a contender in need of a downfield threat. Look for the Lions to get a fourth-round pick or so in return for Jones Jr. if they decide to trade him. That being said, with Kenny Golladay injured, I think the Lions hold on to Jones Jr. unless they get a third-round pick in return.
As far as Jarrad Davis goes, I thought the Lions should have moved on from him in the offseason but they decided to give him another shot. Though he has been limited when it comes to snaps, Davis has been making the most of the time he has been on the field and the Lions may have finally figured out how to use him. If the Lions do trade Davis, do not expect very much in return for the former first-round pick but something is better than nothing.
