Taro Hirose, who joined the Red Wings after his final season at Michigan State, scored one goal to go along with six assists in 10 games.

Before coming to the Wings, he had 15 goals and 35 assists in 36 games with the Spartans.

Though is an average skater and struggles with his shot, Hirose could be a nice third-line forward for the Wings during the 2019-2020 season.
