Detroit Lions fans, you will not believe what Jim Bob Cooter just said

Whether you’re new to being a fan of the Detroit Lions, or a seasoned-vet, you know that the Lions are not exactly setting the league on fire when it comes to the running game. You should know the stats by now: Seven 100-yard rushers in Matthew Stafford’s career, one of, if not THE worst rushing team in the league year-in and year-out, horrible running plays on critical third downs, the list goes on and on.

Yet, SOMEHOW, our offensive coordinator does not feel the same as us fans do.

I’m not exactly sure what games Cooter is watching when he says a statement like this, but I can’t help but think the man is on some strong hallucinogens. Because he is just flat out wrong. Unless all he is mentioning is the fact that the Lions have versatile schemes and sits on that statement alone. Because whether the schemes themselves are versatile or not, the fact that they rarely result in positive gains is what should matter more.

The Lions currently sit at 31st in the league when it comes to rushing stats, at just over 77 yards per game. Let me say that again in all caps for you, just to get my point across. THE DETROIT LIONS RUSH FOR JUST 77 YARDS PER GAME!

That is absolutely abysmal, and for Pro Football Focus to have the gall to say Matthew Stafford is the 18th best quarterback in the league is just laughable. He literally has NO help! None! 77 yards worth of NOTHING! And they want to rank trash like Blake Bortles, Tyrod Taylor, and Jameis Winston ahead of Stafford. It literally makes me shake my head that they can be that blind or that stupid.

And the same can be said for our offensive coordinator. I’m Matthew Bassin and I approve this message.
