WATCH: LeBron James takes jab at Michigan while discussing “The Game”

Now’s the time of year to think about what we are thankful for and something came to my attention that I may have been taking for granted. I am thankful that Lebron James decided not to play football in college, specifically at Ohio State.

Lebron was an all-state high school football player and is an athletic freak. His first season would have been in 2003, where Michigan defeated Ohio State for one of their few wins in recent memory.

All this comes to mind because Lebron is a very outspoken Ohio State fan and recently was asked about this week’s matchup against Michigan.

Lebron pretending not to know about the big game is fun, I suppose, but his shot at The Big House is less amusing. Calling it a neutral site game is ridiculous and insulting to one of the best venues in college sports.

Nonetheless, Michigan heads into “The Game” this Saturday (Noon ET on FOX) as an overwhelming underdog and can use all the bulletin board material they can find. Home field advantage might be the only thing this team has going for them.

Although come to think of it, I think I would have rather have watched LeBron James disappear in big moments against Michigan rather than him disappearing against the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, and the Golden State Warriors.

See what Devin Bush had to say about star Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett. Here’s a hint… he isn’t scared of him.
