BUZZER BEATER: Tomas Tatar beats the clock to tie the game against Calgary

Sports fans are used to seeing buzzer beaters in the month of March, just usually not on the ice. Detroit Red Wings forward Tomas Tatar took matters into his own hands late in the 3rd period on Friday night, scoring with just over 1 second left on the clock and tying the game against the Calgary Flames.

Tatar’s goal forced overtime and gave the Red Wings a point in the standings.
